Promotion sustainable agricultural practices are the main focus and thrust areas of JKYC since inception. Because economic empowerment of its operational are exclusively depends upon agricultural activities like:-HYV Paddy cultivation. In respect of Kanas Block of Puri district where monsoon crops does not take place, became regular water logging and flood problem. Where Rabi crops are cultivated in the block the organization has initiated several agricultural activities during the period like: -Farmer’s orientation training programme on HYV Paddy cultivation, Distribution of Seeds and Fertilizers and Demonstration of HYV Paddy cultivation etc. During the period JKYC has taken on lease basis about 04 acres of cropland for HYV Paddy cultivation. The productivity of paddy has been harvested about 22 quintals per acres which is more than average recorded in the previous years in the area.
